About this track
An IHRA member track in Montgomery that publishes a full season calendar and revises it in writing, which makes it one of the easier tracks in this directory to plan around. The 2026 schedule was released in January and revised on 22 June.
It runs some of the biggest bracket money in the Southeast. The autumn calendar alone includes the Cap City $50K Bracket Race, the IHRA Bracket Finals, the Great American 500K Bracket Race, a $5,000 and $10,000 Footbrake Race with a double $2,000 Junior Dragster, the Gobble Wobble Thanksgiving Bracket and the World Footbrake Challenge.
The track also runs a heads-up index programme of six races, with 5.30, 6.00 and 7.00 index classes plus Mike Hill's 4.84 Series. Index rules as published allow a delay box and any tire size, on a .400 pro tree, with no throttle stop and no deep staging.
Other regular features are the Super 7 Series bracket races, Friday night slick-prepped test and tune sessions paired with a Top Eliminator bracket race, radial-prepped test and tune, and the Southern Outlaw Tour, which finishes its season here.
